👩🏽‍🍳 How to Make Homemade Beef Stew

1. Brown the Beef

Begin by heating a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add your beef stew meat and brown it on all sides until nicely seared. This helps create a rich, flavorful base for your stew.

2. Add the Broth and Simmer

Pour in enough beef broth to cover the beef. Season with your favorite seasonings, including salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Garlic & Herb or Brazilian Steakhouse seasoning.

Bring the broth to a gentle simmer. Cover the pot and allow the beef to cook slowly until it becomes tender and flavorful, about 4–6 hours, or longer if needed. Check occasionally and add more broth or water if necessary.

3. Add the Vegetables

Once the beef is tender, add your diced potatoes and sliced carrots. If you like a little heat, add a Scotch bonnet pepper or your favorite type of pepper.

Continue cooking until the potatoes and carrots are fork-tender and the flavors have come together.

4. Prepare the Pasta

While the stew is cooking, prepare your favorite pasta according to the package directions. You can cook it separately and add it to each bowl when serving, or add the pasta directly to the stew near the end of cooking.

Tip: Cooking the pasta separately can help prevent it from becoming too soft, especially if you plan to enjoy leftovers.

5. Taste, Season, and Serve

Taste your stew and adjust the seasonings to your liking. Ladle the hot stew into bowls, add your pasta, and serve with warm, crusty bread for dipping.

Then sit back, relax, and enjoy a bowl of homemade comfort. 🤎

🌶️ Make It Your Own

This recipe is easy to customize. Want it spicy? Add Scotch bonnet pepper or your favorite chili pepper. Prefer a classic, mild stew? Simply leave out the pepper. You can also add other vegetables you love, such as celery, peas, or onions.

The best part of homemade cooking is making it your own.
